How it works
- Select a year and month to display that month's calendar, with weekdays (business days), Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays color-coded. Sundays and holidays are shown in red, Saturdays in blue.
- The number of business days for the month is shown prominently at the top of the calendar. Business days are the weekdays excluding weekends and public holidays.
- In addition to the business days, the tool counts holidays that fall on Saturdays, Sundays, and weekdays separately, so you can also check the total number of days off.
- Public holidays are calculated automatically with built-in logic, including Happy Monday holidays (Coming of Age Day, Marine Day, etc.) and the Vernal and Autumnal Equinox Days.
- It also reflects substitute holidays when a public holiday falls on a Sunday, as well as citizens' holidays, which turn a weekday sandwiched between two public holidays into a day off (Japan).
- It is useful for a wide range of purposes, such as grasping monthly working days, planning shifts and work schedules, and forecasting payroll and closing dates. Future holidays may change due to legal revisions, so please also check the latest official announcements.
