How it works
- Ages 6–11 are measured with the softball throw and ages 12–19 with the handball throw. Both record the distance thrown (in meters) and follow the categories of Japan's New Physical Fitness Test (Physical Fitness and Motor Ability Survey) by MEXT and the Japan Sports Agency.
- The listed averages are reference values based on representative national figures by age and sex. They are statistical averages, and individual records vary. Refer to official statistics for the latest and most accurate values.
- Enter your own record to calculate the difference from the average (±m) and the ratio to the average (%). The ratio is calculated as record ÷ average × 100.
- The displayed average distances are reference values only; actual records vary widely depending on body build, amount of practice, and measurement conditions.
- Even if you are below average, performance improves with your stage of physical development and amount of practice. Please use the result only as a rough guide for everyday exercise.
