  • Each round differential is the score minus the course rating, multiplied by 113, then divided by the slope rating.
  • Depending on how many rounds you submit, the best differentials are selected and their average is taken.
  • The handicap index is the average of the selected differentials multiplied by 0.96, truncated to one decimal place.
  • The net score for each round is the round score minus the handicap index.
  • This tool is a simplified estimate of a common method and may differ from an official certified handicap.
