  • Mean arterial pressure (MAP) is calculated as diastolic blood pressure + (systolic − diastolic) / 3. It represents the average pressure in the arteries during one cardiac cycle.
  • Pulse pressure is the difference between systolic (upper) and diastolic (lower) blood pressure, calculated as systolic − diastolic. It is referenced as a rough indicator of arterial elasticity.
  • This tool uses a general guide of 70–100 mmHg for MAP and 40–60 mmHg for pulse pressure to show "within range / above / below." These are general reference values; appropriate values vary with age, body size, and underlying conditions.
  • Use systolic and diastolic values measured at the same time, and calculation is possible when systolic is greater than diastolic. For home measurements, it is recommended to rest and measure repeatedly under the same conditions.
