How it works
- Points use the three-point system: a win is worth 3 points, a draw 1 point, and a loss 0 points. For example, 10 wins, 5 draws, and 3 losses give 10×3 + 5×1 = 35 points.
- Most modern leagues use the three-point system, which rewards a win more heavily than a draw to encourage attacking play. Some competitions still use the older two-points-per-win format, so check the rules of your competition.
- Win rate is wins ÷ matches played, shown in the .500 style with three decimals and the leading zero dropped. Draws count as matches played in this calculation.
- Goals for and against are optional. Enter both and the tool shows goal difference (goals for − goals against) with a sign, a handy tiebreaker when teams are level on points.
- How ties on points are broken (goal difference, goals scored, head-to-head, etc.) varies by competition. This tool only computes points, win rate, and goal difference; confirm final standings against your competition's official rules.
