Flow Rate Converter
Convert between 8 flow rate units such as L/min, m³/h, US gal/min, and ft³/s. Enter a value, pick a unit, and see every conversion at once.
Input
Unit
L/min(Liters per minute)
Result
1 L/min in the base unit is
1.6667e-5m³/s
| Unit | Symbol | Converted value |
|---|---|---|
| Cubic meters per second | m³/s | 1.6667e-5 |
| Cubic meters per hour | m³/h | 0.06 |
| Liters per second | L/s | 0.016667 |
| Liters per minute | L/min | 1 |
| Liters per hour | L/h | 60 |
| Milliliters per second | mL/s | 16.6667 |
| US gallons per minute | gal/min | 0.264172 |
| Cubic feet per second | ft³/s | 5.8858e-4 |
How it works
- Eight units are supported: cubic meters per second (m³/s), cubic meters per hour (m³/h), liters per second (L/s), liters per minute (L/min), liters per hour (L/h), milliliters per second (mL/s), US gallons per minute (gal/min), and cubic feet per second (ft³/s), all interchangeable.
- The base unit is cubic meters per second (m³/s). The value you enter is first normalized to this base amount, then divided by each unit's factor to compute every conversion at once.
- Conversions use defined values: 1 L = 0.001 m³, 1 minute = 60 seconds, 1 hour = 3600 seconds, the US liquid gallon = 3.785411784 L, and 1 foot = 0.3048 m (all exact).
- To use it, enter the flow rate value in the field above and pick the unit of that value from the adjacent menu. The table below instantly shows the equivalent value in each unit.
- The display format adjusts automatically to the magnitude of the result. Very large or very small values may appear in exponential notation, and rounding can introduce slight differences. For exact work, double-check using the original values.
- The definition of a "gallon" varies by country. This tool's gal/min is the US liquid gallon. The Imperial gallon has a different volume, so its conversions differ as well.
